History
The Shirt in camouflage is most likely a privately purchased garment fabricated by a local tailor in the mid 1980’s.
Description
The shirt is fabricated from heavyweight cotton fabric featuring the distinctive M-1970 ‘Brushstroke’ camouflage pattern. The shoulders are enhanced with reinforced fabric patches, and the short sleeves feature adjustable tabs, giving the impression of a casually rolled-up look just above the elbows. The left upper arm of the shirt is equipped with channels to secure three pens.
Fastened at the front with a full-length brass zipper, the shirt boasts both internal and external storm flaps. Additionally, it features two bellows pockets with concealed button-down lids, each equipped with tiny metal snap-domes to secure the corners.
Above the pockets, olive green cloth tags are sewn, displaying the owner’s last name ‘Mohamed’ on the right and the branch of service ‘RAMD’ (Royal Malaysian Regiment, Malaysian Army) on the left.
