It forms part of a broader webbing set in brushstroke camouflage, which was likely used by those who could afford it or were authorized to purchase and use such equipment. Remarkably, these items remain in production today, a testament to their enduring utility.

The canteen cover is constructed from heavy-duty nylon webbing, showcasing the iconic brushstroke camouflage pattern. Its design accommodates a Malaysian adaptation of the British 1944-pattern aluminum water bottle, paired with a matching aluminum canteen cup.
