The Pouch, Ammunition, Steyr was introduced in 1988 to carry Steyr rifle magazines and hand grenades, replacing the universal pouch that came with the M-1956 webbing equipment. It was specifically designed to fit one type of magazine and featured a plastic half-tuck buckle and a hook and loop closure.
