History
The Pouch, Ammunition, Other Arms, DPM, IRR (Pouch) is a single mag pouch that holds two 30rd, 5.56mm SA80 magazines. The Pouch was issued to drivers, field engineers and other non-infantry personal performing jobs close to the front line.
Description
The pouch is made from textured nylon with a Temperature DPM printed on the internal side. The nylon has a PU lamination on the inside, and the interior is lined with olive green rubber butynol. The top of the pouch is fitted with an A-hook for suspenders, allowing it to be used on either side of the belt.
The lid closes with a ‘Spanish’ buckle for one-handed closure, and behind this is a hook-and-loop closure option. The back of the pouch secures to the web belt with a plastic T-slot and a dome-secured webbing strap.
The sides of the pouch have short webbing that allows an elastic bungee cord to be fitted. The interior of the pouch is divided into two cells, each holding a single magazine.
