History
The Bandolier GP (General Purpose) DPM, IRR is a versatile piece of equipment that can be used for various purposes. It is made of textured nylon material and features a temperature DPM pattern on the external side.
The bandolier is designed to be worn slung-across the shoulder to carry five 51mm mortar Rounds in a plastic ‘egg shell’ type carrier and could also be used as a general utility bandolier.
Description
The lid extends halfway down the front and sides and is closed with two 19mm, side-release buckles.
The Bandolier also comes with a 25-mm nylon webbing shoulder strap that has a side-release buckle for easy adjustment and quick release. The internal side of the shoulder strap has a small free-running pad held in place with two webbing loops.
To protect the wearer and the contents, the back face of the bandolier has a thin layer of closed cell foam interlining. Additionally, two metal D-rings are located midway down the back face, which can be used to secure the Bandolier to the outside of a rucksack.
The Bandolier’s internal side has two short cords fastened to the front lip with plastic barrel-locks. On the opposite side, a patch of hook and loop and snap-domes holds the cord in place. These cords secure the 2nd and 4th mortars inside the Bandolier.
